Duke faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in Fall training sessions at Duke’s Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (CSGD).
P.R.I.D.E. training sessions
P.R.I.D.E. (Pursuing Respect, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) training sessions are CSGD’s signature educational program aimed at increasing awareness of issues impacting those with marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. Topics in the three hour sessions include language, identities and research; the intersection of identities and culture; issues impacting college campuses; and intentional actions that can create an inclusive community.
Dates for Fall 2019 P.R.I.D.E. training are:
- Tuesday, September 24th from 9:30 am-1:00 pm,
- Thursday, October 17th from 5:00 pm-8:30 pm,
- and Monday, November 18th from 1:00 pm-4:30 pm.

Trans 101 training
Trans 101 training, an introductory workshop to allow students, staff and faculty the opportunity to learn about identities related to sex, gender, gender identity and gender expression, is scheduled for September 25th from 9:30 am-11:30 am and Monday, November 11th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Asexuality 101 training
Asexuality 101 training, an introductory workshop that allows students, staff and faculty the opportunity to learn about identities on the asexual spectrum including, but not limited, to asexual, aromantic and demisexual identities, will be held Wednesday, October 23rd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
