Meet the 2021 – 2022 Bass Digital Education Fellows

Learning Innovation is excited to welcome the 2021- 2022 Bass Digital Education Fellows, a cohort of Duke PhD students who take part in a  fellowship offered in partnership with the Duke Graduate School. Through this co-curricular experience, Fellows gain deep knowledge of digital pedagogy and build valuable consulting and project management skills through the successful launch of digital projects under the guidance of Learning Innovation.

Fellows have received additional pedagogical training through the Graduate School’s Certificate in College Teaching and Preparing Future Faculty programs. They receive additional training through GS762: Digital Pedagogy, and many of the fellows have participated in the Duke Graduate Academy for Online Teaching. Both of these courses are offered under the guidance of the Learning Innovation team.

Meet the Fellows

This year’s cohort consists of six Fellows with a diverse set of skills and academic preparation. They have taught undergraduate courses as instructors of record and have substantial teaching assistant experience across in-person, hybrid, and online courses. Fellows are engaged in a wide variety of activities across Duke including diversity, equity and inclusion and providing ongoing professional development workshops to the Duke community. See Current Bass Fellows to read about each fellow and their digital project.
