In February we announced Carry the Innovation Forward, a program focused on sustaining and expanding the learning innovations that arose at Duke during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-21. We invited Duke instructors to share with us their proposals for how they could take what they learned about teaching during the pandemic and build upon it to strengthen teaching and learning at Duke.
We framed the program in four tracks:
- Research on innovative learning
- Exploration of new learning technology
- Re-envisioning a course or program for flexible or online learning
- Faculty learning communities
We received 43 applications across all four tracks, with representation from all of Duke’s schools. We are pleased to announce that the final recipients of Carry the Innovation Forward support have been selected. To see the full list of the 29 recipients and learn more about their projects, please visit the Carry the Innovation Forward landing page.
We look forward to collaborating with these innovative instructors to help Duke realize its post-pandemic future.
