Sakai Update: New Look, New Features Coming August 16

Duke Sakai will be upgraded August 16. Sakai will be unavailable from midnight to 5 pm.

Users will notice many enhancements including a mobile-friendly user interface, a new spreadsheet-style default view for the Gradebook, improvements to content layout in the Lessons tool, streamlined settings in Tests, and drag and drop file upload functionality in the Resources tool.

For details and to learn how to use these new features, consider attending one of the many workshops CIT is offering on Sakai 11 this fall. More information can also be found on the Sakai support site, and through the Sakai 11 video series.

Additional Enhancements Related to Sakai
In addition to the updated features in Sakai, Duke’s Toolkits application will be updated to improve how guests are added to Sakai by using the new OIT service OneLink.  Users of Warpwire will also see new features in the recently released version 1.8 including playback speed adjustments, jump to specific time codes for playback, and hot spot analytics.
