DE SIG@Duke November Session Focus on Adaptive Learning

The Distance Education Special Interest Group at Duke (DE SIG @ Duke) is an open group meeting every other month to discuss a range of distance education topics. Participants come from all units at Duke and include instructors, program directors and coordinators, IT directors and staff, instructional designers, and academic technology consultants. Discussions focus on program administration, pedagogy, and technology.

Join us at our November session, as we focus on Adaptive Learning.

Description: Hank Bowman, Vice President of CogBooks, Inc., will provide an overview on adaptive learning, share use case examples, and discuss the technology.  Following the presentation, at 4:00 pm, we will continue with an open forum where conference updates, announcements, and discussion on any topic in the area of distance education is welcome.  DE SIG members will plan to share updates from two recent conferences: The 21st Annual Online Learning Consortium International Conference, and the Learning Technology Consortium, a collaboration of 10 universities with a shared interest in learning and teaching with technology. If you have recently attended a conference and would like to share an update, we’d like to hear from you!
