Learning analytics is an analytical approach focusing on evaluating data on students and their patterns of engagement with course material, instructional strategies, and online communities, to enhance the teaching and learning experience and to improve student success in your course. Learning analytics can be considered at a variety of levels, from the individual student, to the department, to the institution, depending on the questions you want answered and the data to which you have access.
