The Duke Graduate School just announced the launch of the Certificate in College Teaching (CCT) program. The CCT program is for Duke PhD students enrolled in any department and, upon completion, will be noted on their Duke University transcript. Requirements for the CCT are: 1) successful completion of two courses in college teaching; 2) formal teaching experience and teaching observations, both being observed and observing others; and 3) development of an online teaching portfolio.

One of the requirements for the CCT is completion of several teaching observations. The Teaching Triangles program, a peer teaching observation program which will run each semester, is for any PhD student who is teaching or TAing sections of a class and is interested in pursuing the CCT. Interested students should participate in a term in which they teach or TA.
