Duke’s Mohamed Noor (Biology) explains why he loves his iPad, with descriptions of how he uses the iPad to give presentations, take notes in seminars and meetings, read and annotate PDF files, and generally make life more efficient. If you’ve just received an iPad, or are thinking of getting one, his description of how he uses his iPad will help you. Keep up with Mohamed by following his blog, Science, Food, Etc.
Here at Duke’s Center for Instructional Technology, many of us use some of the apps that Mohamed describes. In addition, we share files with each other and between computers, phones and iPads using Dropbox. We take notes with Evernote. Both of these websites/applications sync your files and notes between computers and other devices (whether or not you use an iPad).
