Assistant Director of Learning Experience Design
Beth Shepherd (she/her) is the Assistant Director for the Learning Experience Design group. In this role, Beth supports the learning experience design team with their course development projects as well as their professional goals and growth. She also fosters relationships with Duke clients, stakeholders, and learning innovation partners. Before coming to Duke, Beth spent almost 15 years at NC State where most recently she was the Director of Instructional Design at the Poole College of Management.

Beth has an M.Ed. in Training & Development from NC State University, as well as a BA in English and a BBA in Business Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in south Durham with her husband, 2 children, dog, cats, and mouse. She enjoys but is not very good at baking, crochet, and walking the American Tobacco Trail.
