Stefany (she/her) is the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Chief of Staff for Learning Innovation and Lifetime Education. She coordinates and advances key initiatives and operations, manages critical priorities, and represents the Vice Provost’s interests through effective communication and strategic integration.

Background
Before joining Duke, Stefany worked as an independent consultant, advising new leaders, and supporting academic peers and start-ups. At Duke, she was pivotal in structuring the marketing and communications team, leadership recruitment and hiring, and driving change management and strategic planning initiatives. Prior to starting her own business, Stefany was at Georgia Tech, a hub of innovation and entrepreneurial culture. She led the teams that launched and operated the world’s first degrees-at-scale, developed the Institute’s enterprise CRM strategy, and so much more as the Director of Marketing, Communications, Digital Strategy, and Sales for the division of Lifetime Education.
With a Master of Mass Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), Stefany has received numerous recognitions, including the UPCEA Dorothy Durkin Award for Strategic Enrollment Management and Georgia Tech Communicator of the Year.
Beyond her professional achievements, Stefany loves dry humor and dancing, and gets excited about books, politics, fast cars, organizing things, fitness, dogs, cooking, and advocating for social equity. She actively volunteers, coaches youth soccer, and serves on school boards. Stefany lives in Atlanta with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
