Michael (he/him) is responsible for managing the day-to-day administration and operations of digital education, digital learning infrastructure, and product design and development.
He ensures collaboration among diverse teams and staff to meet core responsibilities and strategic goals and drive operational excellence culturally and technologically.

Background
Previously at Duke, Michael was a technology leader for DLI and CIT. Focused on educational technology and ensuring we provide an ecosystem of tools that support Duke’s curriculum and goals as Associate Director of Learning Technology Services & Strategy.
Before joining Learning Innovation, Michael held an Assistant Professor of IT position at Rappahannock Community College and received an M.S. in IT Management and Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. Here, he focused on delivering high quality and engaging courses in information literacy and web design while building his understanding of IT service and team management.
Before that, he built a portfolio of web sites and services and honed his design sense as the college’s Web Solutions Specialist after receiving a B.S. in Web Design from Radford University.
