Apereo Teaching and Learning Awards (ATLAS)
Are you using Sakai in innovative ways to advance teaching excellence? The Apereo Foundation is seeking submissions for the annual Apereo Teaching and Learning Awards (ATLAS) competition. The international award recognizes innovation and excellence in the use of digital technologies and Apereo tools, such as Sakai, to enhance teaching, academic collaboration, and student engagement and learning.
The award selection process opens January 15, 2019 and closes February 26, 2019. Reach out to Learning Innovation if you have questions about the application process or would like to brainstorm ideas.

Winners will be announced in early April 2019 and recognized at the Open Apereo Conference June 2 – 6, 2019 in Los Angeles California.

Denise Comer, Associate Professor of the Practice of Writing Studies and Director of First-Year Writing in the Thompson Writing Program won the 2017 ATLAS Award for the design of her online course Writing 270: Composing the Internship Experience: Digital Rhetoric and Social Media Discourse). Associate Professor Jennie De Gagne from the Duke School of Nursing was recognized in 2016 for her innovative course Nursing 582: Population Health in a Global Society.
