Learning Innovation invites students to join Duke’s first-ever Global Game Jam! Katya Gorecki, one of our Bass Digital Education Fellows, leads this new initiative as part of her fellowship project. The Global Game Jam is a 48 hour game development challenge where teams create a digital or analog game based on a shared secret theme release. Participants explore new digital tools, try new roles in development, and expand their skills. Designers of all levels are welcome and no prior experience is required.
- Dates: Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2020
- Location: Duke Game Lab (Duke Link, Classroom 6)
- Registration contact: katya.gorecki@duke.edu
The GGJ has hundreds of sites every year with participants from amateurs to industry professionals and that kind of shared experience can be really helpful for students trying to connect with others while at Duke or after graduation.
